“…and bad government is defined by tyranny and chaos.” Chaos is exactly what the Left wants as well as assigning themselves the tyranny to spread it all while accusing their enemies of threatening democracy. And that is what they are doing in the courts. The devil is stirring chaos and confusion in our culture. I pray God allows Trump another four years to slow the descent of our democracy, but, ultimately, I subscribe to the biblical narrative that things will get worse. Man cannot save himself no matter how hard he continues to try. Thus, my hope is in the Lord. If Trump wins, it’s because God is merciful as he was to the Old Testament Israelites. If Trump loses, it’s because as a country, we have strayed so far from Him that He will no longer protect us as happened to Israel under Babylon and Persia. Nonetheless, in the end, God has a plan to save those who trust Him.

Thank you for such a clear article on the Constitution and our Founding Fathers, who were clearly guided by Godly principles and wisdom.

"President cannot be subsequently prosecuted for the same alleged misconduct if he has already received congressional acquittal. Otherwise, if the President is prosecuted again – subsequent to a congressional acquittal – that would be an obvious case of double jeopardy, which the Constitution expressly prohibits under the Fifth Amendment."

It would not be double jeopardy because it is not a legal prosecution. Though impeachments try, somewhat, to a least appear to follow a legal process it is not: it is a political process. It is neither a criminal or civil trial. As Democrats showed in the first impeachment, the President did not even have the simple, basic rights of any defendant in a criminal or civil trial. The impeachment was built on hearsay evidence and the accused, President Trump, never faced his actual accuser.
