One other point which I believes exposes Merchan for the monster he is: Bragg only indicted Trump for alleged misconduct which, the indictment clearly shows, began in 2017 when Trump was in the WH and the election campaign long since completed. How does a defendant improperly influence an event that already happened and where he had zero motivation to defraud anyone? Merchan never answers that fundamental question.
The jurors should be punished for violating their oath requiring them to consider only the law and facts in evidence. In a case where the outcome would both hugely impact the forthcoming elections and would be the first-ever criminal verdict involving an American president, it wouldn’t seem too much to ask the jury to deliberate scrupulously on the huge and byzantine agglomeration of facts and law piled up over many weeks. The jury - in what was a farce —deliberated barely more than 1 day to reach its verdict! Their hasty action is all the more suspect given remarkable credibility problems of demonstrably mendacious witnesses like Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels. There can be no doubt the jurors were prepared to “hang” Trump from day 1 and failed to wvaluate Trump’s defense in their rush to judgment.
Finally, the jurors must be interrogated because no one but them knows the precise conduct and crime of which they found Trump guilty .How does Trump appeal without knowing what made him guilty? How do NY business proprietors know what to do or not do to avoid being indicted?
